THE DOCTOR WILL SEE YOU NOW. CHPW Virtual Care provides a platform for accessing medical professionals at any hour, all from the comfort of your home.

Specifically tailored for members of the Community Health Plan of Washington (CHPW), this application facilitates timely health care through phone or video consultations. For those who find it inconvenient to travel for medical appointments or endure lengthy waits in clinics, this service presents a convenient alternative.

HOW IT WORKS
Users can request appointments 24/7 by simply opening the CHPW Virtual Care App, initiating a virtual consultation, inputting relevant medical history, and processing payment (with most telehealth visits covered by CHPW insurance). Appointments can be scheduled for a later time or requested for immediate consultation. A board-certified physician from Teladoc will review your information and reach out via phone or video. Consultations have no strict time limits and will vary based on the medical issue discussed.

COST
This telehealth service is included within your CHPW plan benefits. However, standard copays may apply based on your specific plan. Refer to your plan’s Evidence of Coverage for detailed cost information.

CONDITIONS TREATED
Connecting members with a board-certified Teladoc physician licensed to practice in Washington State, CHPW Virtual Care can assist with diagnosing and treating various conditions, including:

 <li>Bladder Infections</li>
 <li>Headache</li>
 <li>Nausea</li>

Please note that while Teladoc physicians can diagnose and prescribe medications, they do not provide referrals to specialists or other providers. For follow-up care, you should contact your primary care provider.

PRESCRIPTIONS
If deemed necessary for treatment, the physician can prescribe medications. Prescriptions are transmitted electronically or by phone to the pharmacy of your choice. Some pharmacies also offer mail-order services for CHPW members.

WHEN TO USE CHPW VIRTUAL CARE
This service is intended for non-emergency health concerns. In an emergency situation, always dial 911. However, here are instances when you might consider utilizing CHPW Virtual Care:

 <li>You are unwell and unable to access your regular doctor or clinic.</li>
 <li>You find it challenging to travel to a doctor's office.</li>
 <li>The consultation falls outside normal office hours or occurs on a weekend.</li>
 <li>You wish to circumvent the long wait times and potential high costs associated with Urgent Care or Emergency Rooms.</li>
